System C’s Liquidlogic Children’s Case Management Solution has been selected through Oranga Tamariki’s procurement process, as the programme moves into its design phase.
System C has been selected by Oranga Tamariki, New Zealand’s Ministry for Children, as the partner for its Frontline Technology Systems Upgrade programme, following a competitive procurement process.
System C’s Liquidlogic Children’s Case Management Solution will be configured to meet New Zealand practice requirements and legislation. The programme moves into its design phase from late October 2026, which System C will work through alongside Oranga Tamariki.
Liquidlogic has been developed with social workers over many years and is in use by more than 100 local authorities across England and Scotland. System C also has experience of adapting the platform for different practice and cultural contexts, including in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Nick Wilson, Chief Executive Officer of System C, said: “Being selected by Oranga Tamariki is a significant moment for System C and for our teams in the region. Our Liquidlogic case management solution has been built in conjunction with social care practitioners over many years, and we are looking forward to getting into the detail of the design phase with Oranga Tamariki. Social workers will be working in one place, with less time lost to administration and better information in front of them at the moments that count to support the oranga (wellbeing) of the whānau, its tamariki and rangatahi.
“We have been building our capability in the region for several years. We are continuing to grow our social care practice and service delivery teams in New Zealand, so that the people delivering this work sit alongside the people who will use it.”
System C is already the chosen provider of maternity and neonatal software to New Zealand’s hospital districts under a six-year agreement with Health New Zealand running to March 2031. BadgerNet is being rolled out progressively across those districts, and around half of New Zealand’s community midwives are using it. System C has also implemented a digital Perinatal Spine, allowing midwifery providers on other systems to feed into the national shared care record.
In Australia, System C has deployed Liquidlogic as the territory-wide child protection platform in the Northern Territory, and in August 2025 acquired Brisbane-based MYP Technologies, giving the company a local base for deployment and customer success teams across the region.
