Birth notification information is received directly from the Spine in real time. An HL7 link is available for passing demographic details from maternity and electronic patient record systems.

Family groups can be linked together to enable records to be updated easily, e.g. when moving people into or out of the area. CarePlus Child Health has the ability to search related parties.

With automatic post-coding of addresses, together with comprehensive merge facilities to avoid duplicate records, CarePlus Child Health ensures data quality standards are fully met ensuring confidence in the information.
