Extensive checklists for general procedures like admission, discharge and transfer helps clinicians follow unified tasks aligned with hospital guidelines, which supports nurses and medical professionals. Additionally, nursing and medical staff can write, assign, and track specific tasks for each patient, improving communication.

Structured data captured at the cot-side flows automatically into national datasets, supporting audits, CQC inspections and quality improvement programmes. Built-in audit and reporting tools give teams the evidence they need, without generating additional admin work.

The iPad app enables complete bedside documentation, no paper and no transcription later. Observations are recorded in real time, with automatic data capture from bedside monitors, infusion pumps and respiratory support devices reducing manual entry errors. The app works offline too, so documentation continues securely during transport.

The Baby Diary is available to all BadgerNet Neonatal customers. Clinicians upload photos, videos and updates for parents to view at any time, from anywhere. A mother's voice and involvement in her baby's care matters even when she can't be in the unit. Where a trust also uses BadgerNet Maternity, parents access the Baby Diary through Badger Notes.
