Primary and Secondary National Offer Days are significant milestones for families nationwide. On these days, parents and children discover which school they have been allocated for the upcoming academic year. Regardless of the outcome, National Offer Day marks the beginning of a new chapter in a child’s educational journey. Whether it’s preparing for the transition to a new school or exploring alternative options.

Delivering Data to Families

On Secondary National Offer Day (3rd March, 2025), we faced the significant challenge of processing and managing over 53,000 applications for school places across all of our Admissions and Appeals customers, marking a 21% increase from 2024.

Despite the surge in applications, our solution successfully sent over 50,000 emails and customers posted around 9,000 letters, adhering to local policies on informing parents of their offers. The sheer volume of communications and the need to ensure accuracy and timeliness added considerable pressure to our operations, but we managed to handle everything efficiently and effectively.

Nearly 95% of all applications were submitted via online portals, demonstrating the growing preference for digital solutions in managing school admissions. This shift towards online applications has streamlined the process, making it more efficient and user-friendly for both parents and administrators. Four of our customers achieved over 98% online applications, showcasing the effectiveness of our Admissions and Appeals Module. This high level of engagement not only highlights the trust and confidence that users have in the system but also underscores the success of our efforts to promote and support digital transformation in school admissions.

Primary Offer Day Success

In total over 49,000 applications for primary school places were processed across all customers in 2025, with over 95% of all UK applications being submitted via System C’s Admissions and Appeals module of the Education Case Management Solution. As part of the processing, over 47,000 emails were sent, and customers also posted around 7,000 letters reflecting local polices on informing parents of their offers.
