We have joined forces with the Florence Nightingale Foundation (FNF) to design a new leadership development training programme for early digital career nurses, midwives, pharmacists and allied health professionals embarking on a career in digital healthcare leadership.
It is a bespoke programme for this group, which aims to prepare them for future leadership positions and offers the opportunity to exhibit their knowledge and influence at a systems level. It will also focus on maintaining effective healthcare whilst successfully embedding digital solutions into practice.
An Announcement from The Florence Nightingale Foundation
Dr Gemma Stacey, director of FNF Academy at the Florence Nightingale Foundation commented: “I’m delighted to be announcing this programme. If you are an aspiring digital healthcare leader, this is a very exciting opportunity to strengthen your ability to successfully influence and impact on digital change within your organisation.
“The digital leads will need to educate and engage the wider healthcare workforce as part of their role, and it is important they understand and reiterate the need to embrace digital methods without losing touch with personal patient care.”
Programme Availability
For now, the Early Digital Healthcare Leadership Programme is open to our customers only, primarily to its Clinical Digital Leads Network (CDLN) members.
We will sponsor eight participants this year, delivered via a three-day, in-person course in London, between 5-7 October.
Support & Mentoring
Set up last year, the CDLN was created to provide support, mentoring and knowledge sharing between digital lead nurses, allied health professionals, midwives and pharmacists across the company’s customer base who are responsible for digitising and transforming the care process.
Addressing Training Gaps
Our medical director, Dr Jonathan Bloor, explained how the programme is a new initiative to further support members of the CDLN. “While working with the network, members identified a gap in formal training for early career digital leads and this is our response to help plug that gap.”
The FNF is a highly regarded national charity focusing on improving health, clinical outcomes and patient experience by building nursing, midwifery and AHP’s leadership capacity and capability.
