System C’s new report highlights how AI can free up time for frontline professionals, improve care quality, and support ethical innovation across social care and education.

A new report from System C,AI with Purpose: Insights from 300 Voices Shaping the Future of Health and Social Care, reveals a powerful appetite for artificial intelligence across the sector – with nearly all respondents agreeing that AI can help reduce administrative burden and improve care.

The findings, published on 17th November 2025, are based on a targeted survey conducted by System C in September and October 2025, encompassing the thoughts of nearly 300 professionals across health, social care, and education. Respondents included practitioners from local authorities and digital transformation teams, offering a rich cross-section of perspectives on AI’s role in public service delivery.

The report reveals:

  • 98% of social care professionals say AI’s most valuable role is reducing repetitive tasks to allow more time for person-centred support.
  • 97% in social care believe well-designed AI will help them deliver better care.
  • Only 78% of social care professionals say AI is a strategic priority at board level.

AI working with purpose

System C is at the forefront of ethical AI development within social care and education. Its key technology, such as Liquidlogic FormFlow AI Assistant, embeds ambient listening and automation tools directly into core workflows to improve productivity and restore time for human connection.

The report aims to provide an insight into the attitudes and approach towards AI adoption in social care, addressing the most pressing concerns raised by professionals: integration, safety and value. It synthesises insights from nearly 300 practitioners, including social workers and digital leads. Crucially, the report highlights how AI can give time back to practitioners – allowing them to focus on what matters most: spending meaningful time with the citizen and delivering high-quality, person-centred care. By improving the experience for both professionals and those receiving support, AI has the potential to enhance outcomes across the sector.

Jamie Stewart, Social Care Transformation Manager, Suffolk County Council: “When I was taking notes, I didn’t always feel present in the conversation. AI changed that. It’s life-changing.”

Simone Alexandra, Social Care Systems Manager, Solihull Council: “The first question we had was: is this reducing the number of social workers? It wasn’t. It’s about freeing them to do what matters most.”

System C CTO Brian Collins says: “This report confirms what we’ve long believed – that successful AI in social care and education must be built with purpose, not hype. Native integration into platforms like Liquidlogic social care case management ensures AI works within existing workflows, not around them. Trust-by-design governance, human-led innovation, and clear ROI modelling are essential to building confidence and securing investment. Looking ahead, AI will increasingly become part of the digital workforce – strengthening the clinical expertise and insights that exist today.”

Amrik Johal, System C Social Care and Education Managing Director, says: “This report shows that AI is no longer a future ambition — it’s a present-day solution. By embedding ethical, human-first AI into the systems professionals already use, we can help councils and educators deliver better support, reduce admin, and improve outcomes. At System C, we are working with a number of customers who are rolling out FormFlow AI Assistant and already seeing significant benefits.”
