Medicines Automation Benefits Calculator

This is a benefits calculator to help your organisation model the potential benefits which could be achieved through the implementation of key technologies to support management of medicines. It allows you to input your local data and see the potential benefits.

On the Development

It is an evidenced-based calculator, and data contained is cited from studies identifying the benefits associated with implementation of initiatives and supporting technologies. All cited studies are referenced. The calculator was also developed in collaboration with a cohort of NHS England Secondary Care Trusts, who as a working group provided feedback on the development and confirmed the calculator’s relevancy.

  • EPMA Administration Closed Loop – providing the ability to scan and reconcile the patient, prescription and administered drug at the point of administration (improving the ability of medicines reconciliation to prevent ADEs)
