System C named preferred bidder for Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
2nd March 2016
Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has chosen System C as its preferred bidder following a procurement process on the NHS SBS Framework for replacement PAS and ED systems.
The Trust will be replacing its 25-year-old CLINiCOM PAS.
The new PAS will facilitate system auditability and certification, and directly support additional functionality such as clinical coding, case note tracking, commissioning datasets (CDS), bed management and mobile applications.
“We are delighted that Peterborough has selected System C against such strong competition,” said Markus Bolton, joint chief executive of System C. “This will be our 23rd major hospital deployment in five years, and we are very much looking forward to working with the Trust.”
Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust employs approximately 4,000 staff across its two sites. 180 staff are based permanently at Stamford Hospital, while the remainder are based at Peterborough City Hospital.
As well as Peterborough, the Trust also delivers services to patients from South Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Leicestershire, both at Peterborough City Hospital and Stamford & Rutland Hospital.
The bid is subject to the Trust successfully securing funding, and the 12-month deployment is planned to start in September 2016.
