Smooth ride for Stockport Council with adult social care system go-live

14th April 2020

Stockport Council has taken the Liquidlogic Adults’ Social Care System (LAS) live this week, whilst working remotely during the current COVID-19 pandemic. This replaces the Council’s previous social care case management system from Carefirst OLM and follows on from the Council’s recent implementation of the Liquidlogic Children’s Social Care System (LCS) and Early Help Module (EHM).

Stockport has planned carefully to ensure a smooth implementation of the Liquidlogic case management system and a range of online Portals. With Stockport and Liquidlogic staff working remotely, teams at both ends have been creative in their approach to go-live. Rachel Cobley, Business Relationship and Systems Manager at Stockport Council says:

It was important for us to go-live on time and we have all had to adapt quite quickly under the present circumstances. In the current climate, communication between ourselves and Liquidlogic has been more vital than ever, and we have always felt supported and well informed at each stage of the implementation. The go-live has gone very smoothly and we are delighted to finally be up and running with a modern, fit for purpose system for the adults’ social care team.

The Project Team at Liquidlogic has utilised online meeting space and screen-sharing, as well as setting up an open call line for Stockport users or Project Managers to dial into and discuss any queries or issues they might have. A trainer hotline has also been developed as an alternative to the onsite floor walking that would normally take place.

David Grigsby, Managing Director, Liquidlogic comments:

It is a testament to the relationship between Liquidlogic and Stockport Council that we have been able to go ahead as planned with this system launch, despite the global crisis that is sadly bringing many other industries to a standstill. We have adapted to the situation quickly and put together a plan to remain on track, which the team at Stockport was comfortable with. The current pandemic highlights how critical a social care case management system can be. The additional strain expected on social care teams means that Councils want smart systems which can facilitate efficient recording, case management and workload management. We are very pleased that Stockport Council has achieved this go-live in some of the most challenging circumstances and welcome them to the Liquidlogic customer group.
