Double Awards Shortlisting for the System C & Graphnet Care Alliance

22nd July 2021

Two Care Alliance partnerships with health and social care organisations have been shortlisted for this year’s NHS in the North Excellence in Supply Awards.

The awards celebrate the development of inspirational collaborations between the health service and its suppliers across the North of England, many prompted by the fight against Covid-19, and are open to any supplier to the NHS in the region.

System C’s work with St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to implement a care collaboration tool as part of its digital transformation strategy, secured a place on the shortlist.  The digital tool replaced paper-based referrals and handovers with digital workflows to maximise efficiencies and standardise formats for safer care.   With 90% of paper previously used now removed, the Trust’s digital maturity ranking has significantly improved.

Graphnet was also awarded a place for its work with Cheshire and Merseyside’s Combined Intelligence for Population Health Action (CIPHA) programme.  A population health platform, developed by Graphnet, was established in three months across the area to help the health and care systems manage the coronavirus crisis and to drive its recovery.  CIPHA has led to real-time analytics and dashboards to help predict, identify and control Covid-19 outbreaks quickly.

Both programmes are shortlisted in the innovation category which was set-up to recognise a company where innovation has been used to improve a product, process or service to transform or enhance patient care and improve efficiency within northern NHS trusts.

Winners will be announced at a virtual event on Thursday 23 September.
