Technical Support Manager.
The Junior Technical Support Consultant will work alongside specialists within the Technical Services Teams and will be trained in all aspects of the team’s work. The Trainee will also work closely with product development, deployment and project teams within the System C & Graphnet Care Alliance. The suitable candidate will be enlisted in an IT Apprenticeship program and will also be provided with on the job training for all supported hardware, operating systems, databases and applications.
Duties and responsibilities
The Junior Technical Support Consultant will develop a basic knowledge and understanding of the technologies required to deploy our current and new software products as well as a wider understanding of server, database , storage and networking technologies. As the position is for an entry level role and will expand over time to match experience, expected duties include the support of System C customers, adherence with company and team procedures including involvement on discrete customer and team projects. It is expected that the majority of initial work will be performed alongside a mentor moving to a more independent role as experience and skills grow.
Skills and experience
A background and interest in computing is essential along with good written and oral presentation skills , ideally the candidate will have had some experience or exposure to Microsoft operating systems and any experience of the following – Windows Server , Azure, SQL Server, VMWare , PowerShell , Webserver, networking principles would also be beneficial.
