Most enterprise-wide healthcare IT projects require some level of system interfacing, as disparate systems need to share patient and clinical data either with real-time interfacing or as a batch process. Such interfacing is notoriously difficult to successfully develop and implement. However System C has had considerable success in interfacing projects and is acknowledged as a leading provider of system interfacing. An experienced integration and interfacing team of 30 people can provide a range of services, including the supply and deployment of interfacing engines such as eGate (TM) from SeeBeyond and Rhapsody (TM) from Orion, the development of live interfacing and training and support services to end user organisations.
System C Healthcare has considerable experience in the development and deployment of interfacing solutions for healthcare organisations. We have developed and implemented interfacing technologies to all major PAS / HIS and clinical systems, and we were the first company to provide interfacing acute Trust systems to the LSP solutions in London (IDX Carecast) and the North West (iSOFT - iPM).
System C is a benefactor of the healthcare interfacing standards body HL7. We are experts in a range of different interfacing engines, including Rhapsody™ and eGate™ for which we are added value resellers. System C has also implemented HL7 v3 messaging for Choose and Book compliance for our own MedWay EPR.
Interfacing services from System C
System C has over 30 staff who are experienced in the deployment of interfacing solutions and offers a range of technology, consultancy and services offerings to assist Trusts in deploying interfacing solutions. These are:
Analysis: System C can help with the analysis of the existing Trust landscape by carrying out baseline assessments, interfacing requirements analysis and impact assessments
Design and development: System C can provide interfacing specialists to design, develop and implement interfacing between two or more disparate systems. We can also provide assistance with the design and implementation of messaging standards.
Test Plans and Scripts: System C can provide staff with interfacing technologies, in-depth knowledge of the LSP solutions, existing interfacing systems and testing methodologies to write test plans and scripts tailored to the functionality of the required systems, in order to test the end to end interfacing process.
Deployment: System C can provide staff to aid with the deployment and rollout of the interfacing service. Our staff can provide assistance with installation, configuration, pipecleaning, testing and issue management and tracking.
Supplier / Trust Liaison: System C can provide staff to liaise between third party system suppliers and Trusts to ease the process of designing, implementing and testing any changes required to the interfacing systems, messaging systems or message content.
Support: System C can provide telephone, remote access and on-site support for interfacing projects that have been developed by System C.
