Leading NHS IT and services supplier System C Healthcare recently celebrated the opening of new office accommodation at the company's northern base in Warrington. Fast becoming an employer and supplier of choice within the healthcare IT arena, this expansion has been welcomed by staff and clients alike.

The company has undergone a period of rapid change and challenge brought about by the recent developments in the NHS IT market. System C Healthcare's expansion reflects the increasing demand for the company's professional IT implementation services and NHS domain expertise, specifically tailored to the requirements of the modern NHS. The new office accommodation at Warrington will provide additional 'hot-desk' working space for over forty staff, as well as new training and deployment facilities and meeting rooms, allowing System C Healthcare to better support its clients.

Ian Denley, Chief Executive, comments:
"Demand for our specialist NHS domain knowledge and professional implementation service expertise has enjoyed a marked increase over this year. Our expansion is in direct response to this, as well as providing flexible office space for our employees. The aim is to establish a centre of knowledge sharing and healthcare expertise that both staff and customers can benefit from."

Opening celebrations also marked the promotion of Barry Howard to Head of Operations for the Warrington office. This new appointment seeks to strengthen the formal management structure for northern operations. Until recently a Senior Project Manager for the company, Barry is now responsible for the day-to-day running of the Warrington office, local employee relations and working with the senior management team to ensure the local delivery of corporate business objectives.

Barry comments:
"I am delighted to be appointed to Head of Operations for Warrington. This is an exciting time for all involved with System C, as we continue to expand in order to meet increased demand for our range of services. I look forward to managing and sustaining the impact of this growth on the northern centre as well as maintaining high levels of satisfaction for all that use our facilities."

The office expansion and new appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for System C. The company recently implemented the first phase of a trust-wide Electronic Patient Record (EPR) for the Christie Hospital NHS Trust, in one of the last contracts to be awarded prior to the National Programme for IT. At the same time it has been providing a range of project management and implementation services to a number of clients across the healthcare sector.
