System C Healthcare plc ("System C") announces that Jim Horsburgh has decided to relinquish his role as Executive Chairman, but the Board is pleased to confirm that he has agreed to remain as a Non-Executive Chairman. This change will take effect from 1st September 2007 and allows Jim more flexibility to develop his other business opportunities. John Forrest will remain as Senior Independent Director and will also become Deputy Non-Executive Chairman, also with effect from 1 September 2007.This will leave the Board with a good balance of 4 non-executive directors and three executive directors to take System C forwards.
Jim Horsburgh commented "After 7 years with System C I am delighted that it has progressed to the point where I am able to relinquish my executive role confident in the knowledge that the team led by Ian Denley has all the qualities to take the company through its next stage of growth. I look forward to my role as Non-Executive Chairman and also to continued further progress at System C."
The Board also confirms that, as reported in the trading update on 23rd May, trading has continued to be encouraging. It is expected that System C will report its preliminary results for the year ended 31 May 2007 on Wednesday, September 12th.
