Medway Emergency Care

Medway Emergency Care is a specialist A&E module which supports the patient journey from registration and triage through to eventual admission or discharge. It can either operate stand-alone, or integrated with Medway or a third party PAS.

The system collects clinical data throughout the A&E episode including medical history, incident triage details, diagnoses, medications, investigations and treatments. It integrates with other Medway clinical modules to support Trust-wide applications such as order communications, PACS viewing and prescribing.

Medway includes a function which tracks patients as they move through the department and externally to theatre or for investigations. The A&E whiteboard is used to show the status of individual patients and the department as a whole.

The solution generates discharge summaries which can be transmitted directly to the GP.  It can also integrate with the Trust's bed management system.
