Clinical Dashboards
Medway Clinical Dashboards are designed to support quality of care improvements by helping clinicians make timely, informed decisions and monitor operational performance.
The Clinical Dashboards use indicators, gauges and charts to display real-time, relevant healthcare information. Data that supports this can be consolidated from a multitude of sources, including a hospital's PAS and clinical systems.
Each dashboard is configurable to local clinical requirements and can also provide comparisons against national data sets or targets. They allow clinicians to identify and target key areas for information gathering and improvement.
Dashboards can be used to help measure:
- quality of patient care
- performance
- operational effectiveness
- clinical outcomes
- the patient experience
System C has successfully implemented clinical dashboards across multiple SHAs and a broad range of care settings as part of an NHS Connecting for Health pilot programme.
Settings for the CfH and other Medway clinical dashboards include renal, mental health, primary care, bed management, social care, oncology, orthopaedics, theatres, mental health, ambulance, and hospital heartbeat.
