Dr John Forrest - Deputy Non-Executive Chairman

John joined System C as a Non-Executive Director in February 2005. He graduated with an MA from Cambridge University and a DPhil from Oxford University. In 1984 he joined Marconi Defence Systems as Technical Director and later became Director of Engineering, Independent Broadcasting Authority.

He led the privatisation to create the communications company NTL, becoming its first Chief Executive. In 1996 he joined the venture capital company, 3i plc, and served on the Board and its associated committees until 2004. John is Deputy Chairman of Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd and Omniglobe Networks Ltd (Canada) as well as Pro-Chancellor of the University of Surrey.

John is our Senior Independent Director and is on the Nominations, Audit and Remuneration Committees at System C.
