Local Service Providers
Within the English NHS, System C is heavily involved in the NHS Connecting for Health National Programme for IT. System C has been working since the start of the Programme alongside Trusts and Local Service Providers (LSPs), and is now established in four out of five of the regional clusters. System C has been directly involved in a high proportion of the successful major go-lives achieved to date. Along the way, we have built a strong reputation as a hands-on company that gets things done.
System C has over 130 people working right across the programme in areas including the design and build of the solutions, testing, implementation/deployment, training, data migration, interfacing, clinical engagement, project management and support. Many of System C's staff on the programme have a clinical background and they work in most areas of healthcare including acute hospitals, community, mental health, child health, maternity, emergency care, theatres, PACS and primary care.
CSC Alliance
The CSC Alliance is the Local Service Provider (LSP) for the North West and West Midlands cluster of the NHS Connecting for Health National Programme for IT. This is a large geographic area stretching from Carlisle to Worcester covering 145 Trusts, 2,500 general practices, over 275,000 staff and serving a population of 12.7 million. The CSC Alliance has a number of principle partners and subcontractors including iSOFT as the main application supplier, SCC as the main provider of hardware and Hedra who work primarily in business change management. System C's role is as a specialist provider of healthcare IT expertise.
"System C's people have on average over ten years healthcare computing experience and we use that knowledge and experience to support us in many areas of the programme" said Alan Hardiman, CSC Alliance's Programme Director. "They are hands-on and focused on delivery and have added real value through their contribution."
