System C Bluestar provide expert advice on everything from programme and project management to procurement reviews and audits.  And our extensive experience of health environments means that you know we understand your needs and the challenging environment in which you work.

Bluestar provides qualified, experienced programme and project managers from diverse professional backgrounds, including clinically trained staff. We have operated at all levels within the NHS, working with primary and secondary care providers, Strategic Health Authorities and on NHS-wide information technology projects. Many of our team are experienced in supporting the Connecting for Health programme objectives, which is helping the NHS to deliver better and safer care to patients, by providing technology systems that link GPs and community services to hospitals.

We also have experience of working in the private healthcare sector. Our approach is designed to meet the needs of individual clients, from providing a lead manager, to act in an advisory role, through to deploying an entire team to manage a project from concept through to service delivery.

All our project managers are PRINCE2 Practitioner qualified, which means they have met the UK industry standard for effective project management.  Also our programme managers have all achieved MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) accreditation which is awarded for best practice in delivering successful programme outcomes.

Strategy Development
Bluestar has a proven track record in strategy development across both NHS and private healthcare. Our assignments have covered a range of areas including Information Management and Technology (IM&T) strategies. We have also developed resource strategies for operational departments, reviewed current service provision which has helped to establish new organisations.

Interim Resource Management
Bluestar can supply clinical, operational, training and change management resources within the healthcare settings. Bluestar are able to provide short or long term solutions for a diverse range of assignments.

Quality Assurance Reviews and Audits
Bluestar can undertake quality assurance reviews and audits, generating confidence that a project is being managed effectively, and is on track to realise the expected benefits and achieves the desired outcomes.  Bluestar has undertaken reviews for NHS Trusts, Strategic Health Authorities, Connecting for Health and Department of Health, with the aim to determine the extent of which they conform to accepted programme and project management methodologies.

Business Case Development
Bluestar have developed a considerable number of business cases that required not only significant strategic reviews but also options appraisals. Bluestar can work with clients from the initial proposal phase through to financial closure. The value of these business cases has varied, with values up to £40m.
