What is System C?
System C is one of the UK's leading suppliers of healthcare IT solutions and services.
The company began trading 22 years ago as a developer of 4th Generation Language (4GL) software application development tools, and in 1993 it used its 4GL product set to develop applications for the healthcare industry.
In the 12 years since then, the company has developed a suite of healthcare systems which computerise most clinical and administrative aspects of patient care. It also provides associated support and implementation services, with a large and highly skilled team of experts who are experienced in all aspects of the design, developments and deployment of healthcare IT. System C has installed its own and other suppliers' systems at over 30 NHS hospital Trusts and employs over 200 staff.

What does System C do?
System C is one hundred percent committed to the healthcare IT market and helps design, build, implement and support clinical and administrative computer systems.
We work with other suppliers, helping with the development, testing and deployment of their systems. We work directly with hospitals and other healthcare organisations making sure that systems are implemented smoothly.
System C also has its own portfolio of electronic patient record systems, which are used by thousands of UK healthcare professionals to support patient care.

System C covers all arenas within the healthcare sector including:

We work with a variety of general systems like PAS as well as clinical systems such as maternity and PACS.

What products does
System
C
have?

System C has developed its own comprehensive Electronic Patient Record (EPR) System - MedWay which is being used successfully by a number of NHS Trusts.
MedWay provides support for the majority of clinical and administrative users through a single integrated product.
MedWay supports the following areas:
Advanced PAS functionality including live bed state support, flexible multi-disciplinary scheduling and integrated extended clinical functionality (such as A&E, theatres, radiology and maternity
- Integrated requesting and results support for pathology and radiology
- Integrated clinical support including PACS image viewing, document imaging, comprehensive clinical noting, prescribing and a unique English language clinical encoder
- Advanced confidentiality and security routines that support role-based access to patient data
- Compatible with the NHS Care Records System

System C's HealthData Manager is a reporting and management information system configured to support the healthcare sector. HealthData Manager provides a data warehouse structure that organises healthcare data in such a way as to make it easily accessible to NHS users
The product is supplied with a range of pre-defined standard report templates which give users a starter pack of frequently required outputs, such as, management reports and statistical returns.
HealthData Manager accepts data from a variety of sources:
- The core reference solutions from Local Service Providers
- Local and legacy PAS/HIS systems
- Local and legacy departmental and clinical systems
This gives users the ability to mix data from disparate national and local systems

Design, build and test
The DBT processes take products from the early requirement stage to the delivery of a robust solution. This includes working with end users and solution providers to ensure that systems fully support the care process. We also work closely with other suppliers to the programme in the design, build and testing of their products.
