process of transferring data between storage types, formats or IT
systems.
Data Migration is needed in organisations when an organisation decides to use a new computing system or database management system and the data on the old system needs to be moved onto the new system.

An Electronic Patient Record or EPR is a record of personal patient information that is stored in a digital format.

System C has designed their own Patient Administration System (PAS) and Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system know as MedWay.
MedWay is now used by a number of healthcare

Medway Sigma is System C's advanced PAS/EPR system for NHS and private hospitals.
Medway Sigma BI or Medway Sigma Business Intelligence as it is often referred to as is a local reporting tool and management information system designed exclusively for hospitals.
Medway Sigma Maternity is System C's modern and clinically rich maternity information system.
Medway Sigma Proxima is System C's Choose and Book accredited software application built to support care outside hospitals. Medway Sigma Proxima offers an integrated holistic solution for elective centres, GP led centres and clinical assessment services.

NPfIT, or National Programme for I.T as it is often known is the NHS project that is being delivered by the Government agency Connecting for Health. It is a major project to computerise the English NHS and ultimately improve patient care.
